Situated on the High Street behind the parish church in the beautiful rural village of Islip just north of Oxford.
We are close to the magnificent Blenheim Palace and also close to many of the sets used in Midsomer Murders
and the Inspector Morse / Lewis TV series.
We are close, but not too close to the A34 and M40 J9 and the new rail link to Marylebone opens late summer 2015.
The Red Lion has just re-opened after an extensive refurbishment and we aim to offer fine dining, fine wine and fine ales. Our tag line is wine, dine and relax and we want you to do just that. The refurbishment includes a sun trap patio area, an Aunt Sally throw and a skittle alley incorporated in ournew function room.
We are open for breakfast on Saturday morning from 08:30 and offer a Sunday night quiz
every week to a set recognised format, with good prizes.
At the Red Lion we are proud of our food offering. Serving a wide range dishes from traditional pub classics to daily specials we believe we have something for everyone. Where possible we use the freshest ingredients possible to
ensure our food always tastes fresh and exciting.
We have a great range of beers, wines, ciders and soft drinks to complement your meal. Why not ask a member of our team to recommend one of our beverages to complement your meal.
Feedback is really important to us so after you have dined with us please feel free to feedback your thoughts on your experience.
